Hellafied Funk Crew was born in the summer of 1993, the brainchild of California native and veteran rapper Charles Treadwell. His vision to combine hip-hop with a heavy groove, a combination of Parliament Funkadelic and Black Sabbath soon became his mission. His vision became reality when a diverse group of musicians collided in Denver, Colorado. Charles the "Funky W" (Voc's), Kenny James (Drum's), Randy Lodes (Guitar), and Andy Pfeiffer (Bass). T he result was a fusion of rap lyrics, hip-hop loops, and power chord rock that was so unique it could only be classified as Hellafied Funk. After only four live performances, HFC claimed the award for Best New Band in Denver at the coveted Granny Awards, the largest awards event for recognizing talent in the local Colorado music scene.
