Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men (ISBN 978-0-06-083134-9) is a book by Michael Kimmel, published in 2008. The book covers the culture for young men transitioning from adolescence to adulthood.[1]
Kimmel interviewed 400 men aged 16 to 26 and identified a trend whereby young men increasingly delay adulthood.[2][3] Kimmel notes that, in 1960, almost 70% of American men had by the age of 30 left home, completed their educations, found a partner and started work. By comparison, today less than a third of men reach these milestones before their thirties.
